Geo, I cannot help with the Komori but may give you some ideas. You rip will need to generate a PPF file (Print Production Format). Now you have to look at the usual, it may be right reading or wrong and has to be the right orientation. You can generate a test file with color bars and sold coverage on one side and none at the other. This file needs to go to a workstation to translate into the press console language. For Heidelberg, we do this with Prepress Interface. Once calculated at Prepress Interface, we store the data on a data card or into a networked data base. Granted... InDesign had it's issues at first... to be completely honest... it still does... but man... for what Adobe was trying to do with what they *had* to work with? Wow. That's vision. That's listening to your user-base. All that and a pretty butterfly box, too. I think InDesign (even in all it's flawed execution) made everyone take notice. It forced the industry to rethink things and as a result, we ended up going places digitally that we never dreamed of in a strictly PageMaker/Quark world. Hey Joe, Thanks for the offer of help on this, just found out that I'm going to be making more work for myself, apparently the asset management system we're working with won't read the IPTC/EXIF/XMP tags embedded in the files anyways.
